Carla drew her inspiration from life and her imagination. she was in remission for over two years when she lost her battle with cancer! she was an inspiration to others and was also a photographer, who meant the world to me. I will always miss her!

My sister, Carla Joy was a writer who published her only book: My Cancerous Hoo Hah, A story of cervical cancer in 2014! Carla started writing poems when she was around ten years old and never stopped. She has poems and short stories published in several publications around the Louisville area.
